about the artist
Alison’s unique brand of acoustic pop is as artful as it is honest. With its catchy licks and subtle harmonies, paired with intelligent, affecting lyrics and complemented by her warm, energetic stage presence, her work is both personal and engaging - bringing style as well as substance to the microphone and the stage.
In 2006 Alison released her first full-length album, At Arm's Length. Her sophomore effort, Fairytale Endings Aside (Nov. 2007), represents a return to the piano playing of her childhood and a step forward into a more soulful expression of the melodic pop sound established on her debut.
Her focus on pairing intelligent, empathetic lyrics with catchy pop melodies is earning her notice around the greater Boston area, which she now calls home, and NY/NJ where she enjoyed her music-filled childhood. She's brought her warm, energetic stage presence to such venues as Club Passim, the Paradise Lounge, the Knitting Factory and the Lion's Den.
She looks forward to growing her audience and honing her craft as she promotes her second album and works toward her future releases.
